Orkla needed a unified leadership program for newly hired and promoted managers across multiple countries. Existing approaches varied locally, and the pandemic made in-person training impossible.
The company partnered with Promote International to create the Orkla Leadership Compass—a virtual journey focused on practical application, dialogue tools, and consistent leadership principles.

Outcomes
The Orkla Leadership Compass scaled to 10 countries through a Train the Trainer model, delivering locally in native languages. Over 90% of participants reported using leadership behaviors more consciously, and 85% said they practice them more effectively. Managers confirmed the impact, with all seeing skill application and 75% noting improved leadership.
At the team level, 80% reported higher engagement, over half increased productivity, and 90% spend more time on leadership activities. The program established a consistent, cost-effective, and sustainable leadership foundation across Orkla.
